About 70 to 80% of people get hemorrhoids at some point. Dry paper is a big reason why, every wipe is friction, and friction on delicate skin causes the tiny tears that turn into irritation and worse. Travel makes it worse (rougher paper, more often). Gut conditions like IBS and Crohn’s amplify it further.
